Good evening from a cold, windy night in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. I should be in bed, but well, I’m not. However, I have much to be thankful for today.
I’m thankful for a full night’s sleep last night. I slept through without getting up in the middle of the night and got almost 8 hours of sleep. That’s rare. Let’s see if it happens again tonight. Looking at the time, I hope not. I have a full day tomorrow.
I’m thankful for the time I spent here with you. I enjoy reading your posts. I always learn something from them.
I’m thankful for the work I did on Firestorm. I got a full chapter written today. I also read it to my friends and got several WOWS from them. So, I’m headed in the right direction. I’ve now started chapter 11.
I’m thankful for the dinner I had with my neighbor today. She invited me to her St. Patrick’s Day corned beef and cabbage dinner. I’m not a fan of cabbage. However, I couldn’t get away with not eating some. Dinner was delicious! She and another friend both know how I feel about cabbage. Still it was delicious and I’m grateful. Also full to capacity.
I’m thankful I could spend time with my neighbor here after dinner and she got things squared away at her place. Instead of TV as usual, we talked. Her plate is full with things going on in her life. I’m doing my best to give her support and be there for her.
Okay, that’s my day. It was full. I did get my steps this morning before breakfast. I no longer wear a Fitbit. I won’t let it hold me prisoner for nine hours. My pedometer app only asks 6000 steps from me. I have over 7000. I’m okay with that.
Tomorrow I won’t be here for most of the day. It’s rock painting. My friend will pick me up at 9:30 and I won’t be home until after 3. It’s also a day to keep food consumption to a bare minimum. I have my annual doctor’s wellness and medication check on Thursday and my six week appointment for my infusion at the hospital almost right after. So, I won’t be here much on Thursday either with Canasta upstairs when I get home. We’ll see how both those days go.
What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
