Describe one positive change you have made in your life.

The most significant positive change in my life happened on April 22, 1980. It was the day I accepted Jesus as my Savior and Lord and committed my life into His hands. It was a life-changing day in many ways. There are days that go down in infamy. For me, this was my day of infamy.

    My Life in Jesus Christ

I no longer saw myself as worthless, but a person of worth in the kingdom of God.

I became bold when talking about my faith. I grew up in church. However, that didn’t make me a Christian. I became a Christian the moment I accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Positivity didn’t happen over night, but with time I realized what negativity did to my life and I saw how positivity could change my whole outlook. I grew up with negativity. It’s all I knew until I accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord and saw the impact of positivity in my life.

Today, I’m a positive person. I don’t allow negative thoughts or people to invade my life. It doesn’t mean I don’t encounter negativity. I do. It’s everywhere. I don’t allow it to invade my life.

Jesus gave me a new perspective and outlook on my life. I started believing in myself and the ability God gave me to write. With rejection as a big stumbling spot in my life, it was hard to accept that I could be good at anything. However, I put myself out there and took that leap of faith Jesus instilled in my life and put my books out there for the world to see and enjoy.

I remember the day well before I published anything. I complained to God that my writing wasn’t good. It didn’t compare to the famous authors out there. God yelled at me. He told me not to compare myself with anybody else. He didn’t make me like others, He made me with my gifts and talents. From that day to this I never compared myself with other authors and took the bull by the horns and published my first book, Scarred.

Jesus injected positivity into my nature. Now, I believe in myself and the ability God gave me. I know I CAN because He said I COULD.

Along with my faith, I’ve seen a positive change in my relationship with my children. I started messaging them almost every day and letting them know I love them. This happened in the past few months. I stopped waiting for them to reach out to me and reached out to them with positive results. I KNOW they love me.

Jesus and positivity changed my life for the better. In a few days I will celebrate my 45th year as a Christian. I can’t wait to see what He has in store for my life. I know it will be good.

What makes you positive? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
