Good afternoon from sunny Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It’s currently 53 F with a chill wind.

Do you know that moment when you go to bed and you suddenly realize you forgot a very important appointment? Yeah, it happened to me last night. As soon as I got in bed, my brain told me it was May seventh. Now, I knew I needed to be home on May seventh and not out painting rocks at the ADRC. I knew that. What I didn’t know was that it was May seventh and I had an appointment at home. Housing was coming to do their annual inspection between 12:30 and 5. I’m thankful I remembered to call them this morning and ask for a new appointment. I got the call back this afternoon. My new appointment is next Wednesday at the same time as yesterday.

I’m thankful for the chiropractor appointment this morning. My bones needed the adjustment.

I’m thankful we (my neighbor and me) went to Costco after the chiropractor. I finally have my membership with them. It cost more than I anticipated, but I have it. Bulk items, here I come. In looking around the store afterward, I couldn’t find the eggs. I didn’t want to buy them, I already had six dozen in my fridge, I only wanted to know where they were. My friend asked a person who worked there when we got to the checkout with my lonely item, almond butter, and she took me back to the dairy cooler, asked what kind I was interested in and handed me a two-dozen package of brown organic free range eggs. I think I can go two months without buying more eggs.

I’m thankful for a wonderful game of Canasta when we returned home. We had two tables of four, so partners. My partner and me won the first game and they won the first hand of the second game before we quit. It was loads of fun as it always is.

I’m thankful I have all my steps and heart points. Costco is a nice large building. I got half my steps wandering around the store, locating the Almond Butter, hot footing it with the clerk to the dairy cooler, and then home where I got the last of my steps and my heart points.

It was a very good day. I have everything I need and a new appointment with Housing for next week. Life is good when you can praise God for His many blessings with a thankful attitude.

What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments. The image belongs to me. Thanks for reading.

Sounds like a good day. I have never been to a Costco.

I’m so thankful for my wonderful neighbors. Our houses share the same lot (mine was originally the garage) and when he does his mowing and weed whacking, he does mine too. He did them yesterday while I was at work and I came home to a freshly cut lawn. They are a blessing to me!
