Day 120 – Trust
Psalm 21:1 (To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.) The king will have joy in Your strength, O JEHOVAH; and in Your salvation how he will rejoice! 2 You gave him his heart’s desire and did not withhold the request of his lips. Selah
3 For You meet him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of pure gold upon his head. 4 He asked life from You, and You gave it to him—length of days forever and ever. 5 His glory is great in Your salvation; honor and majesty You placed upon him. 6 For You made him most blessed forever; You made him glad in Your presence.
7 For the king trusts in JEHOVAH, and through the mercy of the Elyown he will not be moved. 8 Your hand will find Your enemies; Your right hand will find those who hate You. 9 You will make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger; JEHOVAH will swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire will devour them. 10 You will destroy their offspring from the earth, and their descendants from among the sons of men. 11 For they intended evil against You; they devised a plot which they cannot perform. 12 Therefore, You will make them turn their back; You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces. 13 Be exalted, O JEHOVAH, in Your strength! We will sing and praise Your power.

People want favor from those in authority. They don’t want to be on the receiving end of their wrath.
David rejoiced in the favor he received from JEHOVAH. He gloried in His strength and honor. David saw how JEHOVAH destroyed His enemies and the vengeance of His wrath on those who didn’t trust Him.
As Yeshuwa’s children, you receive the same favor from Him when you trust Him and give Him glory and honor. He shows you His mercy and strength, instead of His vengeance.
Yet how many Christians don’t know how Yeshuwa helps them? How many Christians don’t open their Bibles to know His power over their enemy Satan? How many Christians don’t trust Him to meet their needs. So often, I hear Christians tell me Yeshuwa doesn’t answer their prayers so why should they go to church, Bible study, or pray? They don’t realize that by not opening their Bible, going to church, Bible study, or praying, they don’t have power against Satan.
It is only in reading and studying your Bible that you will know Yeshuwa’s power over Satan. It is only in going to church and Bible study that you will learn what Yeshuwa requires from you. It is only by praying that you will receive answers to your prayers.
David prayed often, wrote songs about JEHOVAH’S majesty and honor. He gave Him glory and praised His name because He alone brought him victory over his enemies. David’s favorite place was in the tabernacle where he heard the Law and rejoiced in his salvation.
Where is your favorite place? When you can say what David said about JEHOVAH and the help He gave him against his enemies, you will know Yeshuwa’s power and strength over your enemies. You will see His provision in your life and His blessings.
What will you do today to bring down Satan’s stronghold in your life?
Let’s pray: Father, to You alone belong vengeance against my enemies. You hold me in the palm of Your hand and bless me because I trust You. Your Son defeated Satan on the cross. Let me forever praise You and give You glory for the many blessings You give me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
