I’m twelve years old in this picture. I see my right arm must be behind my back. I never noticed that about the picture before. This is two years after my first broken bone.
I got my first bike on my tenth birthday. I had asked for one since I was five. I was so happy to finally have it I went out and broke my arm within a week of receiving it. I was only given the bike, not taught how to ride it. That was up to me. My first painful lesson came in trying to turn around. I got off the bike and instead of moving with the bike to turn it, I fell over the back end of the bike and landed palm flat on the ground, fracturing my right elbow. I was in a soft cast for six weeks.
That was the first, but not the last. Through the years, I’ve had many cracked ribs, broken toes, broken legs, and fractured vertebrae. I’m only an accident waiting to happen. To say I’m fragile is putting it mildly.
I found a wonderful supplement for my bones a couple of years ago when I fractured the L1-L2 called Bone Essentials. Since taking it, I haven’t had a single broken bone. I intend to keep it that way. I have a bone scan scheduled for next month. I’ll see how strong my bones are now that I’m taking the supplement.
Have you broken any bones? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. I was 12 in the picture.
