Day 139 – Prayer of Praise
Psalm 40:1 (To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.) I waited patiently for JEHOVAH; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. 2 He also brought me out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. 3 He put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our Elohiym; many will see it and fear and will trust in JEHOVAH. 4 Blessed is that man who makes JEHOVAH his trust, and does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. 5 Many, O JEHOVAH my Elohiym, are Your wonderful works which You have done; and Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order; if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; my ears You opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require. 7 Then I said, “Behold, I come; in the scroll of the book, it is written of me. 8 I delight to do Your will, O my Elohiym, and Your law is within my heart.” 9 I proclaimed the good news of righteousness in the great assembly; indeed, I do not restrain my lips, O JEHOVAH, You Yourself know. 10 I did not hide Your righteousness within my heart; I declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I did not conceal Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great assembly.
11 Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O JEHOVAH; let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me. 12 For innumerable evils surrounded me; my iniquities overtook me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head; therefore, my heart fails me. 13 Be pleased, O JEHOVAH, to deliver me; O JEHOVAH, make haste to help me! 14 Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion who seeks to destroy my life; let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor who wishes me evil. 15 Let them be confounded because of their shame, who say to me, “Aha, aha!” 16 Let those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; let such as love Your salvation say continually, “JEHOVAH be magnified!” 17 However, I am poor and needy; yet JEHOVAH thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my Elohiym.

Help
What do you do when you come through a difficult time in your life? You let everyone know how you came through and how it strengthened you and gave new meaning to your life. You see it often in the different programs aimed at helping people.
David often saw struggles with his enemies, and within his household. Yet, he took his struggles to Elohiym and praised Him when He brought him through and set his feet on the proven path of faith.
When Satan comes against you, you need to do as David did: take your struggles to Yeshuwa and praise Him for bringing you through those difficult times when it’s hard to trust and faith seems to flee. It’s those times when you see Yeshuwa’s hand guiding and directing you through the obstacles Satan puts in your path. When He brings you through, your testimony will lift others and help them see their potential in what Yeshuwa will do for them.
Then you can say as David did: Behold, I come; in the scroll of the book, it is written of me. I delight to do Your will, O my Elohiym, and Your law is within my heart. There’s nothing you cannot do when Yeshuwa guides your life. Your praise comes from the depth of your soul for everything He brought you through.
What does your life look like? Praise Yeshuwa and watch Him take the obstacles from your path.
Let’s pray: Father, when Satan comes against me, let my voice be heard in Your throne room. Let my praise bring victory in my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
