Who is your favorite historical figure?

The easy answer is Jesus.

Why is Jesus my favorite historical figure? He’s more than historical, He’s my Savior, my King, and my God. He is the only person born to die and rise again. The tomb is empty. He sits at God’s right hand interceding for me.

Jesus hears me when I pray. He answers my prayers.

John 14:13 “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. (NKJV)

Jesus is my friend. There is no friend closer than He is. I can go to Him with all my problems and He will provide the solution.

Proverbs 18:24 A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (NKJV)

Jesus provides everything I need.

Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (NKJV)

One day Jesus will return. When He does every eye will see Him and know He is KING of Kings and LORD of Lords.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. There is no one like my Jesus. That’s why He’s my favorite historical figure. He’s more than that. He’s God Almighty.
