I try to tell myself I’m not wasting my time, yet I know I do. I have an agenda every day.
Monday through Saturday, I start every day with Bible study. Then I play my brain games to keep my brain healthy so I can do my work better. After my games, I work on WordPress. I try to get my walk on the trail in the morning, weather permitting. If not the trail, then the hallways in my building. If I don’t have social engagements, I work on my book.
On Sunday, I do my Bible study, play my brain games and spend a short time on WordPress before getting off the computer for the day. Sunday is my day to relax and watch television.
How I waste time is by spending too much time on games and not enough time on my books. This year I planned to publish two books and write two. So far, I’m only writing one and spending very little time editing to publish.
I have social engagements every week.
Tuesday is Bible study at a friend’s church. I have Writer’s Guild on the first Tuesday of the month.
Wednesday is either rock painting or Bible study here at the complex.
Thursday I have chiropractor twice a month and Canasta every week. I also have a hospital appointment on Thursday morning every six weeks.
Sunday is church.
If I need to schedule appointments, I do so around my social engagements. I need those times to relax and spend time with other people. I’m hoping to add one more activity to my daily routine, swimming. I’m waiting for a friend to get the okay from her doctor to return to the pool. She had knee replacement surgery last November and the healing didn’t go as planned.
My time wasters are games and television. Television I usually reserve for after three in the afternoon. It’s my goal time to be off the computer. It doesn’t always work that way.
There you have a snapshot of my daily routine. When I’m not doing what I need to when I need to, I’m wasting time.
How do you waste time? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
