Daily writing prompt
What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life?

Strategies means I take the time to think things through before I embark on anything, including comfort.

I don’t think I’ve ever knowingly strategized for comfort. If it’s hot, I wear light clothes. If it’s cold, I layer up. I always check out the weather before I get dressed. It helps when the weather people get it right, otherwise I won’t be dressed according to the weather.

Other forms of comfort might be in the foods I eat. I have comfort foods. My comfort foods for breakfast are eggs alternating with oatmeal along with a banana every day. In summer, I eat more salads and cook less. In winter I eat more casseroles. I always have fruit in my fridge for any time of year.

For shoes, I need comfort on my feet. Especially if I’m going to be in my shoes for any length of time. I’ve always been fussy about my footwear. When I’m home, my shoes are at the door. I hate wearing shoes if I don’t need to.

Furniture is another area where comfort is necessary. I like my mattress extra firm, my chairs comfortable, not to soft, not too hard. You could call me Goldilocks when it comes to furniture.

So, though I don’t knowingly strategize for comfort, I know what I like.

Do you strategize for comfort? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

I very much like the way you put it: “I don’t knowingly strategize for comfort, I know what I like”. I can relate to that!
