Daily writing prompt
Which activities make you lose track of time?

There are a few things that cause me to lose track of time.

  1. Playing games and working on the Internet. Time seems to speed up when I’m doing either of those things and the things I need to do, seem to go by the wayside with no time for them.
  2. Writing. When I’m in writing mode, as I am right now. Time flies. A whole day is gone and it feels like the day just started. However, writing is what I need to do, so it’s all good.
  3. Anything that isn’t writing, is a distraction. Unless it’s planned time, such as church and friends, including rock painting.

I’ve been trying for a while now to find the time to write. Yesterday and today I found the time and wrote over 3000 words. 2000 yesterday and 1500 today. I feel like I accomplished something.

What do you find causes distractions in your life? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. Rocks I painted for Easter this year.

I always get a kick out of the photos with your painted rocks. You’re very good at it!

Thank you. When my friend invited me to rock painting several years ago, I told her I couldn’t paint. I wasn’t an artist. I found out different the moment I put a paintbrush against a rock. It’s one of my favorite activities other than writing.
