I’ve mentioned it for the past week. The 50+ Retreat checks in at 1 PM today. I’m completely packed and waiting for my ride who will pick me up at noon.

This is my good friend who will pick me up. The pictures are from last year.

I’m not taking that hoodie, fanny pack or those leggings. I have a completely different wardrobe this year, a warmer one as the temps are on the cooler side for the next several days.

It’s promising to be a wonderful retreat. The same worship team, seen in the background here, will be here again this year. I hope to see some of the same speakers from last year. One of them, in the picture below, lives in the city where the retreat is taking place.

These pictures were taken on the last day before we all checked out.

Three people from my Tuesday morning Bible study group will be there this year. Sadly, I’m the only person going from my church. Unless I have a surprise in store when I get there.

This morning I finished packing the last of the things on my do not forget list. I stripped and made my bed, did the laundry, and am running the dishwasher with the last of the dishes.

Since we’re not eating before 5:30 tonight, I made sandwiches to take along.

I also wrote up the Bible studies for Friday and Saturday and have them set as drafts. So, all I need to do tomorrow and Saturday is log into my tablet and post them. I hope it’s easy and I don’t run into trouble with it.

I’m going to take the garbage down and then I’ll be ready to leave.

My thankful post is the fact I’m going to the retreat. I’m excited and I’ll tell you all about it when I get back.

Have a blessed day. Anything exciting happening in your life this weekend? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
