I relax by painting rocks, watching television, or writing. Each of them are relaxing for me.
I started rock painting before COVID and found out I had latent artistic abilities. Growing up I was no artist. Even stick figures were unrecognizable. However, God chose my golden years to give me a talent for painting rocks. These two are the ones I painted last Wednesday.
I’ve always loved television. I could watch it for hours if I let myself. So I keep it to a couple of hours a day.
I started writing because I didn’t like an episode of Big Valley as an 8 year old and told myself I could write it better and wrote my first script. Now, I have nine books published. I don’t write scripts anymore, but it’s not because I can’t, I don’t have the interest. God has me writing novels. I’ve also written children’s stories.
These are all excellent ways God has given me to relax when the world wants to stress me out.
I also relaxed this weekend at the 50+ Christian retreat. More about that in another post.
How do you relax? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
