Daily writing prompt
Describe your ideal week.

For the most part, I’m living my ideal week. I’m retired and my time is my own. However, it’s far from ideal. Right now, it’s lonely.

In my ideal week, I would spend time with my son and his girlfriend every day, either in person or by way of the phone, talking or texting. I would carve out time to spend with my daughter and grandchildren. They don’t live close, so it would be talking or texting with them. However, they have their lives, work, school, and activities, so finding time to talk or text with them is difficult.

My ideal week would include time with friends, I do that now. I would get outside for exercise – walking on the trail, and enjoying being outside.

My ideal week would include spending time working on my book or books. I’ve mainly spent time writing Firestorm when I have time, but I have three other books I want to get ready to publish. I also have two other books I need to finish. There isn’t enough time in a day let alone a week to do everything I need to do with my books.

And first and foremost would be my time with Jesus in Bible study, alone time, or in fellowship with other believers in church and joint Bible studies. A day without Jesus makes one weak. I need strength to achieve even one thing in my ideal week. I can’t do it alone.

What does your ideal week look like? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
