Music is important to my life. I enjoy listening to Christian music and ask Alexa to play it almost every day. The only time I don’t listen to music is when I’m writing. I need only one voice in my head when I write. When music competes for attention in my head, I turn it off. I need to focus on writing, not on the words of my favorite songs.
My life without music would be unthinkable. My apartment gets too quiet without music. When I’m not writing, a quiet apartment is oppressive. I need it to stabilize my life and help with my attitude. It puts a smile on my face, and I like to smile.
