Day 253 – Blessing
Psalm 134:1 (A Song of Ascents.) Behold, bless JEHOVAH, you servants of JEHOVAH, who stand by night in the house of JEHOVAH! 2 Lift your hands in the sanctuary and bless JEHOVAH. 3 JEHOVAH who made heaven and earth bless you from Zion!
God’s names:
JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
Yeshuwa – Jesus
God’s character:
Blesser
Many people spend their nights working long hours in jobs they either love or hate but keep them because nothing else is available. Those who love the long night hours will tell everyone what a great job they have. Those who dislike the long hours will expound on their dislike of the work to anyone who will listen to them.
The psalmist told the priests to give praise to JEHOVAH and bless His name because He created heaven and earth and when they blessed JEHOVAH, He would bless them.
When Christians work long night hours, they need to do their work with joy and gladness as unto Yeshuwa and give Him praise for providing work for them. When you don’t like the work you do, you need to praise Yeshuwa for your work. Yeshuwa has you in your job for a reason. Pray for your employer. Let your attitude and light bring people out of darkness in the job Yeshuwa gave you. When your coworkers see your joy, it will influence the work they do. They might complain less and find ways to make the work environment a better place to work. It’s easy to find happiness in a job you like. However, when people see your happiness in less desirable work situations, they will respect you and your employer will recognize your work effort. You will also find Yeshuwa blessing you in your job position.
Let’s pray: Father, let me be Your light in the work You gave me. Let everything, I do be done with joy and gladness in the work You gave me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
