This is Rascal. He was the best dog. He was a rascal in the truest sense of the word. He lived his name. He was the best companion a person could have.
Having a pet like Rascal made life fun. The question is: What is good about having a pet? Pets relieve the stress of the day. You only need to walk into your home and see their complete joy at your presence. With tail wagging and the love they give, it makes your whole day so much better.

This is Pip. She was also a wonderful companion. I had her after Rascal. She wasn’t the complete opposite of Rascal, but she filled a void when Rascal crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She was loving and sweet.
Both dogs came to me as abused animals. They needed to trust I would not hurt them. Rascal was abandoned to the streets. When he came to me, it was love at first sight. When Pip came to me, the love I gave her made her love me and give me that unconditional love found in dogs. They love completely.
When treated with love, dogs show the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. They don’t judge or accuse. They give everything they have. The only thing they ask from you is love and companionship in return. And when you think about it, isn’t that what Jesus is: Unconditional love. Dog spelled backwards is God. God gave us dogs to show us His love.
I no longer have a dog. I miss their companionship. However, I have Rascal and Pip with me. I only need to look at the knickknack shelf in the hallway to see their canister and box with their ashes and their paw prints. The memories of their love is in those containers.
