Day 296 – Blessings
22 The blessing of JEHOVAH makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
God’s name:
JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
Yeshuwa – Jesus
Kurios – Supreme Authority
Elohiym – Supreme God
Theos – Supreme Divinity
Pater – Father
God’s character:
Blesser
People run after fame, fortune, and riches. They don’t realize it will only bring misery.
Solomon said the blessing of JEHOVAH made a person rich, and He adds no sorrow, no misery with His riches.
What is JEHOVAH’S blessing? It isn’t found in how much a person can buy, how many toys they accumulate, or the baubles they wear on their wrists or around their necks. JEHOVAH’S blessing is found in your close relationship to Him.
When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Kurios, His first blessing to you was the freedom you felt when Satan’s chains fell off your life. You can’t buy that freedom. Yeshuwa bought your freedom with His blood on the cross. His second blessing to you are the many promises found in His Word. JEHOVAH’S promises aren’t only for His chosen people, Israel, they are for everyone who names the name of Yeshuwa as Kurios and Savior. His third blessing is found whenever you open His Word and read what He requires of you.
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does JEHOVAH require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your Elohiym?
James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before Theos and the Pater is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
When you do what Scripture says, you will find the rich blessings of JEHOVAH in your life. Yeshuwa will bless you beyond measure.
Deuteronomy 28:1 “Now it will come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of JEHOVAH your Elohiym, to observe carefully His commandments which I command you today, JEHOVAH your Elohiym will set you high above every nation of the earth. 2 These blessings will come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of JEHOVAH your Elohiym: 3 Blessed will you be in the city and blessed will you be in the country. 4 Blessed will be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. 5 Blessed will be your basket and your kneading bowl. 6 Blessed will you be when you come in and blessed will you be when you go out. 7 JEHOVAH will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they will come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8 JEHOVAH will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in everything to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which JEHOVAH your Elohiym gives you. 9 JEHOVAH will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He swore to you, if you keep the commandments of JEHOVAH your Elohiym and walk in His ways. 10 Then the people of the earth will see that you are called by the name of JEHOVAH, and they will be afraid of you. 11 JEHOVAH will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which JEHOVAH swore to your fathers to give you. 12 JEHOVAH will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless the work of your hand. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow. 13 JEHOVAH will make you the head and not the tail; you will be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of JEHOVAH your Elohiym, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. 14 Then you will not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other elohiym to serve them.
You cannot become richer than that. This is not only JEHOVAH’S promise to His people, but it is also for you. When you obey Yeshuwa in everything He tells you, He will bless you. When He does, He will also load you with His benefits.
Psalm 103:1 (A Psalm of David.) Bless JEHOVAH, O my soul; and everything within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless JEHOVAH, O my soul, and forget not His benefits: 3 Who forgives your iniquities, who heals your diseases, 4 who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Are rich in Yeshuwa? Do you see His blessings and benefits in your life every day? Riches cannot be found in what you accumulate, but in what He gives you. It’s immeasurable and brings no sorrow with it.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for the many blessings You give me every day. I give You praise and glory because You sent Your Son to redeem my life from Satan who kept me in bondage. Now, I am free to bless You and glorify You forevermore. Let me never forget Your love for me and the blessings You heap on my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
