Day 358 – Knowledge
Proverbs 13:15 Good understanding gains favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard. 16 Every prudent man acts with knowledge, but a fool lays open his folly.
God’s names:
Yeshuwa – Jesus
JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
Soter – Savior
Kurios – Supreme Authority
Theos – Supreme Divinity
God’s character:
Favor
Wisdom
Knowledge
Understanding
People go to school to learn, to gain an understanding, first in the basics, and then when they go to college, it’s to gain an understanding in the field of expertise they want to know more about. They pursue that knowledge until it becomes part of them. However, those who skim through life will find it hard in everything they try to do. Their heart doesn’t want to learn.
Solomon saw how people who sought understanding, gained JEHOVAH’S favor, wisdom, and knowledge. He also saw how foolish people would always walk the hard road.
Many Christians walked the hard road before they accepted Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios. It wasn’t until they heard the plan of salvation and wanted a new life that they pursued it with their entire heart, soul, mind, and strength until it became part of them. Some Christians still believe they can walk through life as they always did. They form their own opinions about Yeshuwa without opening their Bibles. They go to church, listen, but go away without understanding. They also find other like-minded Christians and believe they are walking the straight and narrow path of salvation.
You can’t live with one foot in the world and one foot in Yeshuwa. It’s all or nothing when it comes to salvation.
Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve Theos and mammon.
1 Corinthians 10:21 You cannot drink the cup of Kurios and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of Kurios’ table and of the table of demons.
You need to stop playing with Christianity and pursue Yeshuwa with your entire heart, soul, mind, and strength. When you do, you will find the understanding, favor, and knowledge Yeshuwa has for you.
Let’s pray: Father, help me to be faithful to You, seeking You with my whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. Give me wisdom, favor, and understanding as I pursue You in everything I do. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
