You might have noticed that the only post in the last week was the Bible Study, and I even missed one, and it messed up my daily streak. Oh well, let’s see how many days I can go in a row this time before I forget to make a post here.

As the title says, I’ve been away. I’ve still been on the computer, but not on my blog sites. I’ve been working on a massive edit and revision. I finished today.

I’ve been working on one of the next four books I intend to publish this year and next. This one is number three in the publishing queue. In the Hands of Mighty Men is a crime drama. It’s about a mafia family set in the 1920s Chicago.

Here is the blurb for In the Hands of Mighty Men

In the Hands of Mighty Men
by Valerie Jean Routhieaux

When Andrea is torn from the only home she’s ever known and thrust into the violent world of her father’s criminal empire, she discovers a truth more devastating than betrayal: she was never meant to survive. But in the hands of mighty men—uncles she never knew, a grandfather she thought was dead, and a husband she barely had time to love—Andrea finds protection, purpose, and a family willing to risk everything to bring her home.

As rival factions collide and long‑buried secrets ignite a war, Andrea becomes the center of a deadly struggle for power. Her father’s enemies close in, his allies turn unpredictable, and every choice carries a cost in blood. With danger tightening around her and the family’s future hanging in the balance, Andrea must rely on courage, conviction, and the men determined to keep her alive. This is a story of survival in a world ruled by violence—where loyalty is tested, faith is sharpened, and the line between justice and vengeance is razor thin.

Here is the cover – AI generated.

AI never gets the spine right, but that’s okay, I can fix it when I start the publishing process. At least the cover is correct.

With finishing In the Hands of Mighty Men, I have four books finished this month alone. I’ve never completed this many books in one month before to get ready to publish. One of those, won’t be published for quite a while as it’s one in a series, and I like to have a few books finished before I start publishing the series. Of those I finished, Faith to Believe will be the next book published, followed by Love’s Illusion, then the one I finished today, and last the book I will start working on, on Monday – Guns of War – a sci fi novel.

Four different genres are represented here. Faith to Believe is a legal mystery. Love’s Illusion is a romance, In the Hands of Mighty Men is a crime drama, and Guns of War is sci-fi.

That’s what I have been doing and why you haven’t seen me. Do you make it here every day? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The images belong to me.
