Day 75 – Slow to Anger
Proverbs 16:32 He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
- God’s names:
- Adonay – God’s proper name
- YAHWEH/JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
- Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
- Pneuma – Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit
- God’s character:
- Slow to Anger
- Merciful
- Gracious
People who think things through before they act have a calmer disposition than those who rush in with full force.
Solomon knew anger didn’t win wars, only a calm spirit, and one who trusted Adonay would win battles. He knew YAHWEH was slow to anger, and His people should be also.
Yeshuwa told the people they should turn the other cheek. They were not to get angry but think before they acted. When they did, they would have a better understanding of how to proceed.
What kind of spirit do you have? Are you calm in every situation or are you ready to fight for what you want. You need to align your spirit with Yeshuwa’s Pneuma. Only then will you see how you should proceed to gain what you want.
David showed who YAHWEH is.
Psalm 103:8 YAHWEH is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
When you have the same nature as Yeshuwa, you can take a strong city and win your battles.
Let’s pray: Father, give me a calm spirit, slow to anger, merciful and kind. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
