Day 87 – Peace

Proverbs 17:11 An evil man seeks only rebellion; therefore, a cruel messenger will be sent against him.

  • God’s names:
  • YAHWEH/JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
  • Elohiym – Supreme God
  • Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
  • Theos – Supreme Divinity
  • God’s character:
  • Peace

Rebellions have taken place since time began, but not all of them have derived from evil men. Men with good intentions who want to escape tyranny start honest rebellions. Evil men form rebellions because they want to upset peaceful relations in families, in society, and in countries. When that happens, the only consequence of restoring peace is by sending a cruel messenger against them.

Solomon was familiar with rebellions both within his family and with other countries. He knew peaceful negotiations would fail. He trusted the wisdom YAHWEH gave him to bring peace where only rebellion existed. Elohiym had told his father, David, that his reign would be one of peace. Whenever rebellion raised its head, Solomon cut it off before it had time to form.

Satan is the author of rebellion. He caused Adam and Eve to rebel in the Garden of Eden, and he’s still working today in the hearts of people throughout the world to incite rebellion that shakes countries with war. You even see rebellion inside the church.

How many different religions cover the earth? Innumerable. When someone doesn’t like a person’s religion, they start another one. Satan likes to keep the church divided.

Yeshuwa told the people to strive for peace.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of Theos.

Yeshuwa also said He didn’t come to bring peace but a sword.

Matthew 10:34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; 36 and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’

Yeshuwa is YAHWEH’S answer to Satan’s rebellion against the church. He will do whatever it takes to bring peace, even if it means turning the members of one’s family against each other.

When you rebel, you don’t do it against your family or your neighbors. You rebel against Elohiym. He will do whatever it takes to restore order and has been doing so since the first rebellion in the Garden of Eden.

Yeshuwa is our Prince of Peace, our Shalom. When His children rebel, He will bring His sword against your rebellion. You cannot negotiate with His sword; you can only surrender.

Surrender today and watch Yeshuwa restore peace to your life.

Let’s pray: Father, I surrender my rebellious heart to You. Forgive me and bring peace to my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
