When people go before a judge they expect a fair trial. They also expect that the person who represents them will be fair and do what they can to bring a not guilty verdict. When representation is just and the judge is honest, the condemned person will receive a fair trial. However, not every judge and lawyer is honest. Those who don’t gain a reputation for their representation and the verdict they render.

Solomon knew that every judgment went through YAHWEH. The person was set free or condemned on the evidence and what the Law said for the person condemned. Death or restitution was the verdict of every verdict for a guilty person. Freedom was the verdict for the person who was found not guilty.

As Christians, you stand condemned before YAHWEH. You know your guilt. However, YAHWEH provided a way for you to atone for your sin. He sent His Huios, Yeshuwa, to stand in your place of condemnation, bear your sin in His sinless body, and declared you not guilty by reason of His shed blood when you accepted Him as Soter and Kurios.

Romans 5:6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christos died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But Theos demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christos died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we will be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to Theos through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we will be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in Theos through our Kurios Iesous Christos, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. 12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— 13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. 15 But the gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of Theos and the gift by the grace of the one Anthropos, Iesous Christos, abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Iesous Christos.) 18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. 20 Moreover, the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Iesous Christos our Kurios.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christos Iesous, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Pneuma. 2 For the law of the Pneuma of life in Christos Iesous has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh; Theos did by sending His own Huios in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Pneuma.

You know your guilt. But as His child, you stand before YAHWEH guiltless because the shed blood of Yeshuwa Christos covers you. When you sin, you have one avenue open to you — confession. When you confess your sin, your Advocate will stand before YAHWEH and declare you not guilty.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (NKJV)

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have a Parakletos with the Pater, Iesous Christos the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

Everyone sins. When you sin, YAHWEH doesn’t see your sin, He sees the blood of His Huios covering you and stamps your life not guilty when you confess your sin.

Have you confessed your sin? Have you accepted Yeshuwa as your Soter and Kurios? If not, you have the opportunity right now to make your life right before YAHWEH and receive the verdict — not guilty — over your life.

Let’s pray: Father, I confess my sin to You, knowing that my sin separates me from You and the life You have for me. Cleanse me and put Your not guilty stamp over my life because I am Your child. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
