Day 96 – Joy

Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.

  • God’s names:
  • YAHWEH/JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
  • Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
  • Rapha – Healer
  • Jireh – Provider
  • God’s character:
  • Joy
  • Healer
  • Provider
  • Strength
  • Crown of Righteousness
  • Faithfulness

Do you notice how good you feel when you’re happy? Everything feels in sync. You’re even healthier. Whereas a bitter disposition causes trouble in everything you do and dries up your health and relationships.

Solomon saw what a positive spirit did to a person. It felt like medicine for the soul. He also saw the effects of a broken spirit and how it shriveled even good intentions. To have a peaceful reign, Solomon needed to trust YAHWEH. Doing so, gave him a merry heart, one in line with YAHWEH’S will.

What kind of life did you have before you became a Christian? Did you complain about everything, or did you see the positive side of life in everything? What about after you accepted Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios? Did you change your outlook for the better, or was it always positive?

Having a positive attitude is a choice. It doesn’t come naturally, especially when you live with a negative person who dries up your soul and taints everything it touches. You need to choose a positive spirit. When you do, you will start seeing the benefits of a positive life. You will be happier. You will smile. You will make friends and have positive relationships, and you will be healthier.

When you know what Yeshuwa can give you, the blessings He provides, the promises He keeps, you will be happy. You will find joy deep in your soul. People will see you with a smile on your face. A smile opens doors to positive relationships.

Psalm 103:1 (A Psalm of David.) Bless YAHWEH, O my soul; and everything that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless YAHWEH, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Yeshuwa is your JEHOVAH Rapha, your healer. He is your JEHOVAH Jireh, your provider. He is your crown of righteousness. He is your refuge and strength. His blessings are more numerous than the stars in the sky. His faithfulness heals the broken places in your life. With everything Yeshuwa does, you have every reason to be joyful and show His love to everyone you meet. Your joy will make others happy. Joy is contagious. It heals everything around you.

You won’t have a shriveled soul when Yeshuwa guides every step of your life.

Let’s pray: Father, turn my days into joy and thanksgiving as I trust You with my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
