Day 98 – Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge

Proverbs 17:24 Wisdom is in the sight of him who has understanding, but the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth. 25 A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitterness to her who bore him. 26 Also, to punish the righteous is not good, nor to strike princes for their uprightness. 27 He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding is of a calm spirit. 28 Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; when he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.

Many people are considered wise until they open their mouths. Then they either confirm their wisdom or show their lack of it.

Solomon said Wisdom comes with understanding and knowledge.

Proverbs 1:1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel: 2 To know wisdom and instruction, to perceive the words of understanding, 3 to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, judgment, and equity; 4 to give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion— 5 A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel, 6 to understand a proverb and an enigma, the words of the wise and their riddles. 7 The fear of YAHWEH is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Fools rush everywhere looking for something they cannot find because they refuse to obtain wisdom. They believe they can receive wisdom by searching the world, but the only thing they find is confusion. Solomon knew wisdom only came from YAHWEH and he obtained it by studying the Law. Fools disgraced their parents, grieving their fathers and shaming their mothers. He knew the only place he could obtain wisdom was in the study of the Law and serving YAHWEH.

Yeshuwa told His disciples there was only one way to eternal life. It wasn’t in going through the entire world, searching every known religion, trying to find their way in the world. He told them the only way was through Him.

John 14:6 Iesous said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Pater except through Me.

What brought you to Yeshuwa and caused you to make Him Soter and Kurios? Did you suddenly become wise in your understanding? Or was it chance that led you to Him? YAHWEH leaves nothing to chance when it comes to salvation. In your search, the Hagios Pneuma guides your steps and opens your understanding so that you know the truth when you hear it.

Stop grieving your father and shaming your mother. Stop searching the entire world and trying every religion hoping to find the one that will fill you with wisdom and understanding. There is only one way. Solomon knew the way because he studies the Torah. Yeshuwa said He is the way because He is the fulfillment of the Torah.

Yeshuwa is wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. When you open His Word, He will show you the way of salvation. He is justice and peace. He will open your understanding when you turn your life over to Him to fill you with everything He has for you.

Let Yeshuwa fill you today with Himself and show you wisdom and understanding when you seek Him with your entire heart.

Let’s pray: Father, fill me with Your wisdom and understanding. Give me knowledge as I study Your Word so that when I speak, it is You who speaks through me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
