Day 101 – Integrity

Proverbs 18:5 It is not good to show partiality to the wicked, or to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

  • God’s names:
  • Adonay – God’s proper name
  • Elohiym – Supreme God
  • Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
  • Soter – Savior
  • Kurios – Supreme Authority
  • Theos – Supreme Divinity
  • Christos – Anointed One, Messiah
  • God’s character:
  • Righteous

Every day you see news stories that promote evil with power hungry people in authority. People want justice. They want to see people with integrity treated fairly, not see power hungry people allowed to do whatever they want to promote their agendas.

In the culture Solomon lived in, he saw partiality with wicked people all the time. He also saw how people of integrity were punished instead of those who had wicked intentions. Solomon knew Adonay was a fair and righteous Elohiym. His laws were just without partiality. Solomon ruled with the integrity of YAHWEH; his judgment was sound and the people saw his integrity.

When you accepted Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios, you committed to living a righteous life. James warned about showing partiality to those in authority.

James 2:1 My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Kurios Iesous Christos, the Kurios of glory, with partiality. 2 For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, 3 and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” 4 have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? 5 Listen, my beloved brethren: Has Theos not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? 6 But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? 7 Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called? 8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You will love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

Don’t let those with power affect how you treat people. Live in integrity and people will always see you as a man or woman who loves Yeshuwa and will not show partiality to those who deserve Yeshuwa’s judgment.

Let’s pray: Father, help me to live according to Your Word with integrity to guide me in everything I do and say. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
