My favorite holiday is Christmas, not because of presents, but because of what it represents – salvation. God sent His Son into the world as a baby to live among us, teach us, and show us the kingdom of God. His birth led to the cross, my ultimate favorite holiday. Without the birth of Jesus Christ, there wouldn’t have been a cross for salvation. There wouldn’t have been a resurrection, and there wouldn’t be eternal life through Him. Without Christmas and Easter life is hopeless and pointless, but with them, there is hope and I rejoice in the hope of my salvation every day.
