I have been to three concerts in my life. One more than once. When I was in the Navy, stationed in San Diego, I had the opportunity to see Neil Diamond in concert. That one was my first. I don’t know why I chose him for my first ever concert, but I don’t regret it. It was a wonderful concert. I went alone. The second concert I went to was Elvis Presley, also in San Diego. I was still in the Navy and married at the time. I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. I went with my husband who was not an Elvis fan but he went with me and I had a lot of fun and loved the concert. The third concert I went to and had the privilege of seeing him in concert three times was the Christian artist Carmen. He was phenomenal. At the time he was my favorite Christian artist. I enjoyed it and consider it the all-time best concert I went to and my absolute favorite. I not only knew the songs, and joined in with everyone else, but he also incorporated a moment in God’s Word. He wasn’t the king of Christian music in the way Elvis was considered the king, but he worshiped the King and brought everyone who wanted to the King through his music and an invitation to make Him the King of their lives. I realize there was one other concert I went to at one of the high schools in Green Bay, the Christian band, Petra. It was okay, but it did nothing for me. Petra was a band that bridged on hard rock in their music. I never was a fan of hard rock.
Those are the concerts I went to. Who did you see in concert? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading.
