Day 113 – Words
Proverbs 18:20 A man’s stomach will be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips, he will be filled. 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

- Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
- Ra’ah – Shepherd, Friend, Herdman, Pastor
- Christos – Anointed One, Messiah
- God’s character:
- Wisdom
What causes people to listen to great orators? People believe they have something people will want to hear. Many powerful leaders swayed people with their promises of change. Environmentalists swayed people to protect the land and animals. You have the same power in your tongue. It can bring life or death to the person who listens to what you say.
Solomon was a man of profound words. This book of Proverbs shows his understanding of the world he lived in — an understanding he received from YAHWEH. Without YAHWEH’S wisdom on every matter he spoke about, he would have been nothing more than a king on a throne or a person in a crowd who came to listen to the words that could change a person’s life.
When you became a Christian, someone used words to speak to you about what Yeshuwa could do for you because He had already done it for the person who told you about Him. His persuasion changed your perspective and offered you life. Now when you read the Bible, YAHWEH’S Word fills your life with truth and meaning. It gives hope and life every time you eat from it. Every word you read in the Bible fills your mouth with good things; it satisfies the longing in your soul and destroys every work Satan’s word offered you before Yeshuwa came into your life.
Life and death are in the power of the tongue and the person you listen to will give you the power that feels like a full course meal you want to eat from daily. When the person you listen to is Yeshuwa, you will also satisfy your soul with the words of His Word.
Psalm 23:1 (A Psalm of David.) YAHWEH is my Ra’ah; I will not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of YAHWEH forever.
YAHWEH feeds you so that you want for nothing. He provides water that restores your soul — the water of His Word which restores you daily when you eat and drink from it.
Yeshuwa provides life with everything He says. However, you won’t know what He says unless you open your Bible or Bible app and read for yourself. Then His goodness will go deep into your soul to refresh your life.
You have the words of eternal life on your tongue. Have you used those words to influence others for Yeshuwa Christos?
Let’s pray: Father, let the words I speak bring life to those who hear me because they bring You honor and glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
