I bought a Jane Austin book one day when I found it in a thrift shop and took it home and tried to read it. I quickly got rid of it. I couldn’t read four pages without finding it useless to the imagination. The book – Pride and Prejudice. Jane Austin is a beloved writer. Why? She doesn’t use any description in her books. Now, mind you, I couldn’t get past the fourth page, but it does make me wonder at the need for authors back when she came on the scene. Were they in so wont of authors that they turned even bad books into classics? I like a good descriptive book that stimulates my mind and gives me a movie playing in my mind when I read it. Pride and Prejudice is merely words on a page with no imagination behind them.
