Day 145 – Redemption

Proverbs 20:14 “It is good for nothing,” cries the buyer; but when he has gone his way, then he boasts.

• Adonay – God’s proper name
• Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
• Soter – Savior
• Kurios – Supreme Authority
• Theos – Supreme Divinity
• Hagios Pneuma – Sacred, Holy, Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit
• Huios – Son

• God’s character:
• Redeemer

People buy and sell every day. They see something they want; they will consider the cost of the item. If a person can negotiate the cost, they will try to get a better price, even condemning the worth of the item to the seller until they can agree on a price. When the bargain is met, the buyer will go away and boast about his purchase.

Solomon knew the law of buying and selling as given by YAHWEH in the Law.

Leviticus 25:14 ‘And if you sell anything to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor’s hand, you will not oppress one another. 15 According to the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy from your neighbor, and according to the number of years of crops he will sell to you. 16 According to the multitude of years you will increase its price, and according to the fewer number of years you will diminish its price; for he sells to you according to the number of the years of the crops. 17 Therefore, you will not oppress one another, but you will fear your Elohiym; for I am YAHWEH your Elohiym.

The price was set by the seller, and the buyer negotiated the price according to the Law.

When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, Lucifer negotiated the price of redemption and would take nothing less than a blood sacrifice from a sinless person. Adonay accepted the price and told Lucifer, His Huios would be the redemption price for mankind.

Genesis 3:14 So YAHWEH Elohiym said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly you will go, and you will eat dust all the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you will bruise His heel.”

YAHWEH negotiated for you. He met Satan’s price with the death, burial, and resurrection of His Huios, the sinless Huios of Adonay. When you accepted Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios, you broke the chains Satan bound you with. You were bought with a price.

1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Hagios Pneuma who is in you, whom you have from Theos, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify Theos in your body and in your spirit, which are Theos’.

Satan will do everything he can to tell you your salvation isn’t real. He will tell you Yeshuwa didn’t redeem you because your sin was too great. Satan is a liar. YAHWEH honored the redemption price with the blood of His Huios, Yeshuwa. You no longer belong to Satan, you belong to Yeshuwa who redeemed you with His precious blood — precious because He is sinless. Yeshuwa is the only person who could meet Lucifer’s demands in the Garden of Eden.

You are a blood bought child of the living Theos. Honor Him with your life. Glorify Him in everything you do.

Let’s pray: Father, thank you for sending Your Son to redeem me from Satan and breaking the shackles of sin off my life through His redeeming blood. Help me to glorify You in everything I say and do knowing I belong to You and I am Your precious child. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
