Day 146 – Knowledge

- God’s character:

People can amass a fortune in precious stones, but a person who speaks well with knowledge and understanding is more precious than precious stones gathering dust.
Solomon was a man of great wealth. However, nothing compared to the wisdom and understanding YAHWEH gave him to rule the kingdom. People came from all over to hear his wisdom and brought with them their precious stones and ointments for the knowledge he gave them.
1 Kings 10:1 Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of YAHWEH, she came to test him with hard questions. 2 She came to Jerusalem with a very great retinue, with camels that bore spices, very much gold, and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was in her heart. 3 So Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing so difficult for the king that he could not explain it to her. 4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, 5 the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their apparel, his cupbearers, and his entryway by which he went up to the house of YAHWEH, there was no more spirit in her. 6 Then she said to the king: “It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom. 7 However, I did not believe the words until I came and saw with my own eyes; and indeed, half had not told me. Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame of which I heard. 8 Happy are your men and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom! 9 Blessed be YAHWEH your Elohiym, who delighted in you, setting you on the throne of Israel! Because YAHWEH has loved Israel forever, therefore He made you king, to do justice and righteousness.” 10 Then she gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, spices in great quantity, and precious stones. There never again came such abundance of spices as the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
People will pay to hear people who speak with wisdom and understanding. Do you have something to say that people want to hear?
Yeshuwa told the people about the kingdom of His Abba. The people came and listened to Him when He gave them the Sermon on the Mount because He spoke with wisdom and authority.
Matthew 7:28 And so it was, when Iesous had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, 29 for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
When Yeshuwa finished His ministry, He told the disciples to go and do as He did: preaching the good news of the gospel, making disciples, and baptizing them in the name of the Abba, Huios, and Hagios Pneuma.
Matthew 28:18 And Iesous came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Pater and of the Huios and of the Hagios Pneuma, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
You became a Christian because someone obeyed the commission Yeshuwa gave them to tell everyone about the kingdom of heaven and what He came to do for them. Have you taken that same authority and told others about Yeshuwa? If so, then what you offer people is more precious than gold and precious jewels because you offer them eternal life.
Let’s pray: Father, open my mouth to speak Your Word to people and let them know about You and what You came to do for them. Give me a heart of wisdom and understanding. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
