Day 149 – War

Proverbs 20:18 Plans are established by counsel; by wise counsel wage war.

• Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
• Christos – Anointed One, Messiah
• Theos – Supreme Divinity
• Pantokrator – All-ruling, Almighty, Omnipotent God
• BASILEUS – Sovereign King
• KURIOS – Supreme Authority

• God’s character:
• Commander of the Army
• Faithful and True
• Judge
• Righteous

There is no denying that the world is at war. We are not in a major world war as we’ve seen twice before in history, but countries are at war with each other. In every war, leaders need to plan before they wage war with another country. Without plans wars are lost.

Solomon saw war all around him during his reign. YAHWEH had promised his father, David, that Solomon’s reign would be a peaceful one.

1 Chronicles 22:6 Then he called for his son Solomon and charged him to build a house for YAHWEH Elohiym of Israel. 7 And David said to Solomon: “My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house to the name of YAHWEH my Elohiym; 8 but the word of YAHWEH came to me, saying, ‘You have shed much blood and have made great wars; you will not build a house for My name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight. 9 Behold, a son will be born to you, who will be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. His name will be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.

However, it didn’t mean Solomon would not see war in the nations that surrounded Israel. Solomon’s only task during his reign was to build YAHWEH’S temple. He couldn’t do that if he was waging war.

Yeshuwa told His disciples there would be wars and rumors of wars in the last days. War has taken place since time began. The world will end in war.

Matthew 24:4 And Iesous answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am Christos,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear about wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Every war takes planning. Counselors gather to decide how and where to wage war. As Christians, you know there is one war to end all wars that will take place during the Tribulation and then Yeshuwa will bring peace when He defeats Satan. Plans have been drawn up. The place for the final battle has been determined. Satan is moving his generals into place and when Adonay decides, the battle will commence and Satan will be defeated and Yeshuwa will reign in peace.

Revelation 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Iesous and for the word of Theos, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christos for a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of Theos and of Christos and will reign with Him a thousand years. 7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from Theos out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

YAHWEH has a plan. His plan has been in place since the foundation of the world, from the moment Satan demanded a blood price for salvation. Joshua met him before the battle he was about to fight.

Joshua 5:13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?”

 14 So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of YAHWEH I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Adonay say to His servant?” 15 Then the Commander of YAHWEH’S army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.

Yeshuwa has always been the Commander of YAHWEH’S Army. You are part of that Army if you have made Yeshuwa your Soter and Kurios. You will go with Him into the final battle.

Revelation 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Logos of Theos. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Pantokrator Theos. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: BASILEUS OF BASILEUS AND KURIOS OF KURIOS.

When the final war comes, whose side will you be on? Will you fight with Yeshuwa or Satan? Who is your Commander in Chief?

Let’s pray: Father, when the final battle comes, and the battle lines are drawn, let me be found among Your faithful soldiers when You defeat Satan. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
