Day 160 – Strength

Proverbs 20:29 The glory of young men is their strength, and the splendor of old men is their gray head.

• Christos – Anointed One, Messiah

• Glory
• Strength
• Splendor

Men have fought for domination since the world began. The heroes people look up to are men. Men have always thought they needed to prove something. However, as they got older, they got wiser, so that their gray head was the splendor of their glory.

Solomon knew the stories of the mighty warriors for Israel. What he found in each of them, was that their strength was connected to YAHWEH. They fought their battles in the name of YAHWEH and were victorious. He also knew that many of those warriors of old didn’t live long lives. They died young. It was the old men and their wisdom that showed up the glory and splendor of their lives. Lives also connected to YAHWEH.

Where is your strength? On whom do you rely? When you became a Christian, you found a new strength in Yeshuwa, not in fists or on the battlefield. Philippians 4:13 became your battle cry.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christos who strengthens me.

It is only through His strength that you can do the work Yeshuwa gave you to do. It is only through His strength that you can tear down the walls Satan erected around you. It is only by His strength that you can stand up against the fiery darts He throws at you. Because it was His strength that defeated him on the cross.

Your glory and strength are in the cross of Iesous Christos. It is in Him alone that you stand victorious.

What are you doing today in His strength. Do it for Yeshuwa’s glory and you will always be victorious.

Let’s pray: Father, it is Your strength I want in my life as I fight the battle of faith. Shine through me and give me the victory because it is in You alone, I live my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
