Day 164 – Provision

Proverbs 21:5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.

  • God’s names:
  • YAHWEH/JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
  • Elohiym – Supreme God
  • Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
  • YAHWEH Tsada – LORD of Hosts
  • Theos – Supreme Divinity
  • Christos – Anointed One, Messiah
  • God’s character:
  • Provider

People want the fast buck. They run after every get rich quick scheme they find and end up poorer than they were at the start. They don’t realize that hard work and wise investments will lead to a comfortable lifestyle.

Solomon saw how greedy the people were for gain. They did everything but work for their money. He knew only diligent work would lead to wealth. Solomon was a man of enterprise. He had vineyards, and employees to tend them. He was an architect and planner. He wasn’t only the king of Israel appointed by YAHWEH. He worked for his wealth and put his trust in YAHWEH.

Ecclesiastes 2:4 I made my works great; I built myself houses and planted vineyards. 5 I made gardens and orchards, and I planted all kinds of fruit trees in them. 6 I made water pools from which to water the growing trees of the grove. 7 I bought male and female servants, and had servants born in my house. Yes, I had greater possessions of herds and flocks than all who were in Jerusalem before me. 8 I also gathered for myself silver and gold and the special treasures of kings and of the provinces. I bought male and female singers, the delights of the sons of men, and musical instruments of all kinds. 9 So I became great and excelled more than all who were before me in Jerusalem. Also, my wisdom remained with me.

Many people in the church follow the same get rich quick schemes as those in the world and the world supplies many means to do so. There is always someone ready to take advantage of the money in your pocket. However, when you put your trust in Yeshuwa and lean on Him for your wealth, He will lead you to those sources that will help and not hinder you. His first requirement for gain is to give your tithe.

Malachi 3:8 “Will a man rob Elohiym? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. 9 You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says YAHWEH Tsada, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor will the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says YAHWEH Tsada; 12 And all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” says YAHWEH Tsada.

You need to be careful about people who come with open hands and ask for your money promising you great wealth and riches if you give into their enterprises. It will only lead you to poverty.

When you seek Yeshuwa in everything you do, especially in the work He sets for you, you will find He will provide you with everything you need.

Philippians 4:19 And my Theos will supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christos Iesous.

When you are diligent in everything you do, you will have everything you need, and you will not come to poverty.

Let’s pray: Father, help me to always rely on You and not on anyone who wants to take my money and keep me poor. You are my provision and my wealth. I trust in you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
