Day 166 – Peace

Proverbs 21:9 Better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, than in a house shared with a contentious woman.

  • God’s names:
  • Theos – Supreme Divinity
  • Christos – Anointed One, Messiah
  • Hagios Pneuma – Sacred, Holy, Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit
  • Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
  • God’s character:
  • Peace

Do you know women who do nothing but complain and nag? They have nothing good to say about anything or anyone. From the moment they get up in the morning, they are harping about something. They also know everyone’s business and have something to say about that too. It’s hard to find peace in a home with that kind of woman.

Solomon had three hundred wives and seven hundred concubines. I’m sure he was well acquainted with that kind of woman. He would avoid her as much as possible.

Scripture says we are to live at peace with people as much as possible.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of Theos.

Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. (NKJV)

As Christians, it is not fitting to find fault with everyone or everything. You are to edify the body of Christos, not tear it down.

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Hagios Pneuma of Theos, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as Theos in Christos forgave you.

When you have Yeshuwa in your lives, you want to please Him. The only way to do that is to do what He did. He loved everyone and showed people how they were to love one another.

John 15:12 “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. (NKJV)

The gospel isn’t one of nagging, complaining, or causing trouble for your family and friends. It’s living peaceably with one another as much as you are able.

Let’s pray: Father, help me to live peacefully with everyone, not complaining, but edifying the body of Christ as much as I am able. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
