If you have been around long enough to know the early Windows applications, you might remember Clippy. Clippy was a paperclip with an attitude. When I opened a manuscript, he sat in the corner of the page making eyes at me. Sometimes he would act completely bored and others his enthusiasm made me laugh. Every expression Clippy had made me laugh. It was a joy to write in those days. Not to say, it’s not a joy now, it definitely is, but nothing can compare to clippy. It was a sad day when they updated Windows past Windows 3 and Clippy disappeared.
