Day 181 – Deliverance

Proverbs 21:31 The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of YAHWEH.

• Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
• Christos – Anointed One, Messiah

• Deliverer

Life is a battle. How we prepare for the different struggles we encounter will determine whether or not we win the battle.

Solomon was familiar with battle. He had seen his father go to war his entire life. He saw the preparations that went into each battle, and he saw how his father depended on YAHWEH for the outcome of the battle.

Psalm 20:6 Now I know that YAHWEH saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of YAHWEH our Elohiym. 8 They bowed down and fell; but we rose and stood upright. 9 Save, YAHWEH! May the Melek answer us when we call.

Solomon wasn’t only talking about war, he was talking about everything a person does in life — the preparations made each day, the conflicts and the outcomes. He knew that only when he put each day in YAHWEH’S hands that he would see deliverance from the struggles life offers.

Yeshuwa knew the struggles you would face as Christians. He told His disciples not to worry because He overcame every struggle.

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (NKJV)

When you put your trust in Yeshuwa, He will deliver you from Satan’s schemes. Nothing he does or can do to you will have any effect when you trust Him and not your plans.

The only way to prepare for the battle ahead is to put your faith and trust in Iesous Christos. Only then will you see Him defeat every lie and scheme Satan brings against you. Pray. Read your Bible. Memorize Scripture so it sinks deep in your heart. That is how you prepare for the day of battle. Everything else will have no effect.

How have you prepared for the battle?

Let’s pray: Father, You are the only person I need when Satan comes against me. Let Your Word rise in me when Satan tempts me and wants to shame me into believing his lies. The outcome of every battle belongs to You. Help me to stand on Your Word in the day of battle. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
