Day 190 – Friend
Proverbs 22:11 He who loves purity of heart and has grace on his lips, the king will be his friend.
- God’s names:
- YAHWEH/JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
- Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
- Soter – Savior
- Kurios – Supreme Authority
- Basileus/Melek – King
- God’s character:
- Love
- Grace
- King
- Friend
It’s hard to find people who are what they appear — kind, without malice, wanting to help people. More often people only do things for others if there’s something in it for them.
Solomon saw every kind of person. People always had motives for what they did. It was rare to find a person with nothing more on his mind than to be kind to others. Solomon said those people would be his friend.
His father, David, told him YAHWEH’S eyes were on the faithful in the land.
Psalm 101:6 My eyes will be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in a perfect way, he will serve Me.
Psalm 119:1 ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of YAHWEH!
Proverbs 16:13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings, and they love him who speaks what is right.
What was your motive when you accepted Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios? Everyone wants something from Yeshuwa, not only salvation.
Yeshuwa found only one person without deceit.
John 1:47 Iesous saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”
What do people say about you and your walk with Yeshuwa? Solomon said the king would be the friend of the person with grace on their lips and had a pure heart.
Yeshuwa is your Basileus. He is also your friend when you treat others the same way He treats you.
Matthew 7:12 “Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. (NKJV)
Do you have a pure heart? Is grace found on your lips?
Let’s pray: Father, search my heart and know my thoughts. Take out any wickedness and evil intentions and purify me, so I can walk in Your presence without deceit, but with pure intentions. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
