Day 200 – Ownership

Proverbs 22:28 Do not remove the ancient landmark which your fathers have set.

• Owner

Boundary disputes have been around since time began. When people purchase property, they get the surveyor’s map to show them where the boundary line is for their property, so they know exactly what belongs to them and where their neighbor’s property begins.

Solomon knew where the boundary line was for each tribe of Israel. God set the boundaries in the Law. However, within those boundaries were the properties for the various people within the tribe, and that is where the dispute came from. He knew people would move landmarks to extend their land. When that happened the only thing, a person could do was to go to the priest who sought YAHWEH for the boundary line.

Joshua 1:1 After the death of Moses the servant of YAHWEH, it came to pass that YAHWEH spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: 2 “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them — the children of Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, will be your territory.

When the people returned to Joshua after going through the land YAHWEH gave them, YAHWEH then divided the land by lot, so that each tribe had a plot of land within the Promised Land.

Therefore, when there was a land dispute, Solomon sent the people to the priests who held the land grants given to the people from YAHWEH.

As Christians, you have boundaries given to you by Elohiym. As YAHWEH gave every place where the Israelites walked throughout the land He gave them, so too, you have every place you walk.

When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the land transferred ownership from YAHWEH to Satan. When you became a Christian, Yeshuwa gave you the right to take back what Satan stole from YAHWEH. Every place you walk, you can claim for Yeshuwa. He not only gave you a place to live, but a territory in which to minister for the gospel of Yeshuwa Christos.

Yeshuwa gave the disciples a directive before He went back to heaven.

Matthew 28:19 “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Pater and of the Huios and of the Hagios Pneuma, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Your commission is to go to the nations and take back everything Satan stole from Adonay.

Among the people of Judah was a man named Jabez who prayed to YAHWEH for a land extension.

1 Chronicles 4:9 Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” 10 And Jabez called on the Elohiym of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” Then Elohiym granted him what he requested.

Elohiym added to his boundary. He didn’t move the boundary himself. Elohiym increased it because Jabez honored Him.

Yeshuwa extended your boundary when you became His child. Your boundary is the entire world, wherever you live, work, your city. Everywhere you go in this whole wide world, belongs to Yeshuwa.

You’re not moving landmarks, you’re reclaiming what belonged to Adonay, the Ancient of Days, the Creator of heaven and earth. The first owner before Satan stole it from Him. It was Satan who moved the landmarks. Don’t be shy about taking it back.

Let’s pray: Father, help me reclaim land for You wherever I go to preach the gospel. Give me the strength to forcefully remove Satan’s claim and give the land and people back to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
