Day 213 – Wisdom

Proverbs 24:7 Wisdom is too lofty for a fool; he does not open his mouth in the gate. 8 He who plots to do evil will be called a schemer. 9 The devising of foolishness is sin, and the scoffer is an abomination to men.

• Kurios – Supreme Authority
• Theos – Supreme Divinity
• Hagios Pneuma – Sacred, Holy, Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit

• God’s character:
• Wisdom

Do you know people you wish would show wisdom in their actions? They display their lack of wisdom and common sense everywhere they go. Everything they do becomes foolishness to those who know him.

Solomon met every kind of person daily in his courts. The moment they opened their mouths; he knew whether wisdom guided their lives or foolishness reigned supreme. Those who lacked wisdom could not be trusted. Everything they devised became foolishness and foolishness was a sin against YAHWEH because they didn’t trust Him with their lives and plans.

His father, David, gave a good description of how wicked people behave before YAHWEH.

Psalm 10:2 The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; let them be caught in the plots which they have devised. 3 For the wicked boasts of his heart’ desire; He blesses the greedy and renounces YAHWEH. 4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek Elohiym; Elohiym is in none of his thoughts. 5 His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; as for all his enemies, he sneers at them. 6 He has said in his heart, “I will not be moved; I will never be in adversity.” 7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is trouble and iniquity. 8 He sits in the lurking places of the villages; in the secret places he murders the innocent; his eyes are secretly fixed on the helpless. 9 He lies in wait secretly, like a lion in his den; he lies in wait to catch the poor; he catches the poor when he draws him into his net. 10 So he crouches, he lies low, that the helpless may fall by his strength. 11 He has said in his heart, “Elohiym has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see.”

Solomon knew Elohiym saw every wicked act and thought those who rejected Him had toward Him. Nothing is hidden from Elohiym.

What about you? What kind of person were you before you said yes to Yeshuwa? Were you filled with foolish pride and wisdom that could not be named in your life?

Before you condemn those, you see as foolish, consider your life before Yeshuwa and pray for them. You were once like them.

Paul told Titus about the kind of people Christians were before they received Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios.

Titus 3:3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and the love of Theos our Soter toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Hagios Pneuma, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Iesous Christos our Soter, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Your foolish ways condemned you before Yeshuwa before you became a Christian. Therefore, pray for those who walk in foolishness and let the Hagios Pneuma soften their hearts, so they also receive Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios.

Don’t let your lack of wisdom keep you from the love of Yeshuwa Christos. Turn to Him today and let Him change your heart and give you wisdom.

Let’s pray: Father, give me wisdom in everything I do and think. Let Your love guide me so that others see Your love flowing through me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
