Day 215 – Judgment

Proverbs 24:11 If you refrain to deliver them who are drawn unto death, and those ready to be slain; 12 if you say, behold, we knew it not; does not He who ponders the heart consider it? and He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? and will He not render to every man according to his works?

  • God’s names:
  • YAHWEH/JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
  • Elohiym – Supreme God
  • Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
  • Theos – Supreme Divinity
  • Soter – Savior
  • Kurios – Supreme authority
  • Christos – Anointed One, Messiah
  • Elyown – Supreme Most High
  • Pater/Abba – Father
  • God’s character:
  • Judge
  • Deliverer
  • Defender

How often do you see people who flaunt the law and believe they are above it, and wish they would get what they deserve? Do you believe they live golden lives because they never get caught? You also know that if you did what they did, you would have suffered the consequences a long time ago, but they live free. Do you wonder where justice is?

Solomon looks at people who believe they are above the Law and says, YAHWEH sees and knows. He will bring justice in everything a person does.

Psalm 82:1 (A Psalm of Asaph.) Elohiym stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the elohiyms. 2 How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked? Selah 3 Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. 4 Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked. 5 They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are unstable. 6 I said, “You are elohiyms, and all of you are children of Elyown. 7 But you will die like men and fall like one of the princes.” 8 Arise, O Elohiym, judge the earth; for You will inherit all nations.

Elohiym sees everything you do. You cannot hide from Him. Whatever you sow during your lifetime, you will reap when you face Him — the Judge of the whole Earth.

What lessons did you learn before you became a Christian and gave your life to Him? Were you sitting in a jail cell, condemned for your bad behavior when you realized you would face an eternity far from Yeshuwa? Or did you see that your ways were wrong before you faced a judge and asked Yeshuwa to guide your life from that point forward?

Solomon said you would face judgment for the work you did, good or bad.

Paul told the Romans they were without excuse.

Romans 2:1 Therefore, you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. 2 But we know that the judgment of Theos is according to truth against those who practice such things. 3 And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of Theos? 4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and long suffering, not knowing that the goodness of Theos leads you to repentance? 5 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you treasure up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of Theos, 6 who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness — indignation and wrath, 9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; 10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11 For there is no partiality with Theos.

Christianity is not a get out of hell free card. If you continue to live a reckless lifestyle after you said yes to Yeshuwa as Soter and Kurios, you make your confession of faith of no effect. It is the same as not accepting Christos as your Soter and Kurios. You did not change.

It is only when you commit your life to Yeshuwa, and change your life, submitting your life to Yeshuwa as the Supreme Authority in your life that you will see forgiveness and eternal life. You are not Elohiym, but you are a child of Elyown when you accept Him as your authority and vacate the throne of your life and give it to Him.

Let your life reflect the light of Yeshuwa in everything you do. Then people will see and know you belong to Yeshuwa.

Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Pater in heaven.

Let’s pray: Father, forgive me for thinking that I could keep my old ways and call myself a Christian. Cleanse me from every evil thought and action and deliver me from Satan’s hold on my life. I commit myself to You in everything. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
