Day 217 – Faith

Does it feel like the wolves are standing right outside your door, waiting for you to come out so they can cause as much trouble as possible? Wolves of greed, envy, and malice will do anything they can to cause trouble. Wolves of sickness, disease, and job loss will cause many people to question their place in the world.
Solomon knew how wicked people waited to cause trouble to the innocent people who placed their trust in YAHWEH and looked to Him to take care of them when the world rose against them. Greed, envy, strife, and malice, are only a few of those character traits that surround wicked people like a garment, waiting to cause as much trouble as they can. Solomon saw also that no matter how many times wicked people came against them, they always got back up because their hope was in YAHWEH, while a wicked person when he fell, only fell once.
Solomon also saw how his father, David, handled wicked people — he turned to YAHWEH.
Psalm 10:4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek Elohiym; Elohiym is in none of his thoughts. 5 His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; as for all his enemies, he sneers at them. 6 He has said in his heart, “I will not be moved; I will never be in adversity.” 7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is trouble and iniquity. 8 He sits in the lurking places of the villages; in the secret places he murders the innocent; his eyes are secretly fixed on the helpless. 9 He lies in wait secretly, like a lion in his den; he lies in wait to catch the poor; he catches the poor when he draws him into his net. 10 So he crouches, he lies low, that the helpless may fall by his strength. 11 He has said in his heart, “Elohiym has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see.”
Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but YAHWEH delivers him out of them all. 20 He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken. 21 Evil will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. 22 YAHWEH redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who trust in Him will be condemned.
What does that say about faith? Satan will do everything he can to destroy you and take away your salvation. He will tell you how wicked you are, because he wants you to have the same eternity as him. He hasn’t yet realized that a Christian has hope in Yeshuwa Christos. Every prayer knocks him backward. Every time you open Yeshuwa’s Word, you cause him to flee. Every time you ask for another Christian to pray for you, you thrust him through with the Sword of the Pneuma. He cannot destroy you when you stand in your faith, trusting in Yeshuwa with the full armor of Theos protecting you.
Ephesians 6:13 Therefore, take up the whole armor of Theos, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Pneuma, which is the word of Theos; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Pneuma, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
What are the wolves that come against you at every opportunity that causes you to stand night and day in your armor?
Galatians 5:16 I say then: Walk in the Pneuma, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Pneuma, and the Pneuma against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Pneuma, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of Theos. 22 But the fruit of the Pneuma is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
When you stand in your armor, the wolves Satan sends against you cannot cause harm because you not only stand in your armor, but you also stand in the fruit of the Pneuma. Satan cannot stand against you or cause you any trouble when you are armed with the might of Yeshuwa.
James 4:7 Therefore, submit to Theos. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Don’t let the wolves stand at your door waiting for you to step out. Cut them down with the sword of the Pneuma before you walk out the door. You will cut them down and they will be unable to rise against you.
Let’s pray: Father, Your Word is my shield against anything Satan would throw at me. Help me to stand in my armor with the sword of Your Word in my hand, ready to destroy Satan’s intentions toward me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
