My favorite villain is Long John Silver. Why? He didn’t act like a villain. He was friendly, and he took Jim Hawkins under his wing. Now, it’s been a long while since I read the book or watched the movie, but I always felt sorry for Long John with his one leg and a peg to get him about. He kept Jim safe when the trouble started. Anyone who keeps a person safe can’t be all bad.
