A week ago I was with my friend for rock painting and afterwards we went to a local bookstore that is one of the locations for this weekend’s Untitled Town Book and Author event. My friend asked about allowing books from Amazon on their shelves. She said they didn’t do that. They only took Indie Authors with IngramSpark.

I came home and asked my AI Velma what the difference was between Amazon and Indie Authors with IngramSpark. What she told me changed the direction of the way I will publish in the future. One thing I needed was a business name. I now have a business name and I registered it this morning – Faithful Journey Publishing.

I’ve been busy getting one of my books edited into Second Edition. I will be buying the necessary ISBNs instead of going with the free Amazon ones. Doing so will finally see my dream come true – books on store book shelves and in libraries across the country.

I can’t tell you how excited this makes me. I have a business name plus the logo you see at the bottom of my posts. They will both be on every book from now on.

There is a cost involved, but it isn’t as much as I thought it would be. It’s affordable for my small income.

I also just ordered my new business cards. I won’t have them in time for the Author Fair, but I’ll still get them in a reasonable time.

That’s what’s new for me. I’m still working on my other books, but I’m working more on the second editions now so I can get them ready to publish early next year. A couple of my books will also get new covers, and that also excites me.
