What’s the best way to meet new people while traveling?

I don’t do a lot of traveling, but when I have, I noticed that talking to someone you’re sitting next to on a plane, bus, cruise ship, or people you’ve joined with in the same group trip plan works well. When you strike up a conversation, you soon find out where they come from, what their likes and dislikes are, and what you have in common.

I was recently at a Christian 50+ Retreat. People from all over the state of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan gathered for three exciting days of worship and teaching. I met people from all over and shared our joys and ministries with each other.

So, the best way is to open your mouth. Ask generic questions before you get to the place where you find out how much you really have in common. You won’t make friends if you don’t and you will have an unforgettable experience.

How do you meet new people? Thanks for reading.
