Day 263 – Righteousness

Proverbs 28:12 When the righteous rejoice, there is great glory; but when the wicked arise, men hide themselves.

God’s names:

• Christos – Anointed One, Messiah
• Yeshuwa/Iesous – Jesus
• BASILEUS – King
• KURIOS/Kurios – Supreme Authority, Lord
• Pater/Abba – Father
• Theos – Supreme Divinity

• Lord

You don’t need to look far to find wickedness in high places. It’s a global epidemic. Leaders out for their own glory and not the welfare of the people they serve. Yet when leaders do rise who have the welfare of the people foremost in their agenda, then people rejoice and rally around them because they found one person who cares for them.

Solomon dealt with kings and leaders of the nations around Israel. He saw wickedness and corruption in their governments. Israel was the only nation who put their trust in Adonay to lead them. YAHWEH gave Moses the Law they were to follow. When the kings of Israel followed the Law, the nation rejoiced. Israel had such a leader in Solomon and his father, David, who depended on YAHWEH to lead them.

Christians around the world live in fear of the governments they live under. In some countries it’s a crime to say the name of Yeshuwa in public. It can get a person killed, so Christians need to go underground. In countries with religious freedom, the government has stepped in and tried to take the name of Yeshuwa out of every place they can without stepping on the freedom of religion which allows people to worship openly.

Killing Christians started with Yeshuwa Christos. The only difference between Yeshuwa and all the other martyrs for Christos is that Yeshuwa rose from the dead and gave Christians a reason to rejoice and give glory to Him. With His resurrection, Christians willingly put their lives on the line for the gospel. They refuse to stay hidden. They openly profess the name of Yeshuwa Christos.

There is coming a day when the name of Christos Iesous will cause people to kneel and proclaim Him BASILEUS of BASILEUS and KURIOS of KURIOS.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christos Iesous, 6 who, being in the form of Theos, did not consider it robbery to be equal with Theos, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore, Theos also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name, which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Iesous every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Iesous Christos is Kurios, to the glory of Theos the Pater.

When you hold the name of Yeshuwa in your heart and on your lips, you will know as Solomon did, when a ruler rises who seeks the welfare and good of the people through Yeshuwa’s name.

Election day is coming. Do you know the hearts of the people who want positions of power where you live?

Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.

Let’s pray: Father, I rejoice that Your name is on my lips and in my heart. Give me wisdom and understanding to know who follows You in government and let me rejoice to see leadership who honors You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
