What’s a book or movie that genuinely scared you?

There were two actually. One was an episode from Twilight Zone. It was the episode with the wax figures in the basement and the one that looked like Jack the Ripper who killed people during the night by strangling them. I had my eyes on the elm tree in the back yard all night because every time I closed my eyes, I saw the wax figure above my head with his means of strangulation.

The other was a movie I asked my parents if I could stay up and watch. It sounded innocent enough when I saw it listed in the guide. However, when I started watching it, that was a different story altogether. The movie – I Saw What You Did and I know where you are. A telephone prank soon turned deadly. Again I wanted to leave the hall light on. Every noise after I went to bed scared me silly.

I don’t watch thrillers anymore. I like to sleep at night, not be scared of every sound I hear.
